Jenny Gilbertsson assumed her position as Film Commissioner for children and young people on 21 August 2017.

Jenny Gilbertsson has been a producer and script editor in film and television since 1995. The last film she worked on as a producer was The Wizard's Daughter (Tjuvarnas jul - Trollkarlens dotter) which became one of the biggest domestic box office hits in 2014 and earned two Guldbagge Award nominations. Jenny has also produced the series of films with the journalist character Annika Bengtzon, based on a succesful series of novels by the internationally renowned author Liza Marklund. Furthermore she has been Head of Development at production company Yellow Bird and associate producer and script editor on the Emmy Award-winning Millenium series - The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.

Since January 2016 Jenny Gilbertsson has worked as producer at production company Jarowskij, where she has developed several film projects for children and young people.

Jenny studied literature, film, drama and economics at the universities of Uppsala and Stockholm.

The Film Commissioner for children and young people is responsible for supporting and strengthening all film within the target group 0-18 years, on all platforms. The Commissioner also represents the Film Institute in all relevant contexts.
