No streaming service in 2024
Due to economic reasons, the Cineasterna streaming service will not be available to our patrons during 2024.
We are sorry about this but hope to be able to once again offer the service from 2025 and onwards. Luckily, there are many other ways to watch films through services provided by the Library. The Library has a wide range of DVDs to borrow and take home. The Library also features a Mini Cinema where you can watch the films, as well as all Swedish films that have been digitized by the Swedish Film Institute. The Mini Cinema has a large screen, good sound and five comfortable armchairs, and can be booked through the loans desk at biblioteket@filminstitutet.se.
