Filmrummet, No Borders – Storytelling across genres and formats
In the session, a panel of artists and filmmakers, will discuss and challenge the normative definitions of documentary storytelling as we know it. Exploring methods, practices, new ways to elevate the film form, its language and creative expression, honing authentic representation, and the relevant topics the panel members share.
Showing clips they will have an open and engaging dialogue about the realities of birthing and completing their projects; including financing, producing and their thoughts on how their stories can meet their audiences.
Juan Libossart (The Swedish Film Institute) will also talk about the importance of funding institutions keeping an open mind when evaluating non-conventional project applications.
Panelists: Saadia Hussain, Carl Javér, Juan Libossart, Kirsi Nevanti. The session will be moderated by Klara Grunning, film commissioner at the Swedish Film Institute.
