Storytelling: Beyond the Box with Alison Norrington
With audiences now being “the boss”; watching, consuming and sharing screen-based entertainment On-Demand, rather than as programmed by networks, broadcasters and cinemas, “Storytelling: Beyond the Box”, is an insight and overview of new models and formats. Filmrummet invites you to an inspirational day with best-selling novelist, journalist, researcher and storytelling-expert Alison Norrington, 6 December at Filmhuset, Stockholm.
With an ever-shifting, exciting media landscape, the fundamentals and pillars of storytelling are more important now than ever, as short-form and agile stories are told in fragmented ways. This 90-minute session will look at the evolution of the conversation between storyteller and audience, the importance of theme and message, experience and emotional design-thinking around story, how everything has been done before, and case studies showing new ways storytellers are engaging with their audiences.
